School Lane Board of Trustees
Peter Hyams, President
Peter Hyams is a pharmacist, working for a company that serves hospitals in many states throughout the country. He joined the board eight years ago while his daughter was a student at School Lane Charter School. Peter began his service on the board with a vision of influencing curricular improvements, and to this day, continues to work toward keeping School Lane on the path of academic excellence. It is his hope that School Lane will be able to serve the students on the school's enrollment waiting list and to provide educational opportunities to children in other communities.
Tom Buchanan, Vice President
Tom Buchanan is a Bensalem resident and works as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Brotherston Home Respiratory Care. He has two children at School Lane, and he joined the board in 2007 to play a greater role in their education. His vision as a board member is to ensure School Lane is the best school it can be, and that it continues to provide a high level of education to students in the community.
Joseph Cummons, Treasurer
Joseph Cummons is the Director of Operations & Strategy for a financial services company. Joe joined the board in 2006 because he believes charter schools play an essential role in providing public school choice. He would like to see School Lane expand beyond its current location to other school districts in the region, and grow to a K-12 program to provide students with a complete School Lane education.
Debbie Sinclair, Secretary
Debbie Sinclair is the Operations Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Aria Health. She is a mother of two: a current School Lane student and a School Lane graduate. Debbie joined the board in 2008 to become more active in the school's educational process. She is proud of the dedication and preparedness of School Lane's teachers and enjoys being a voice of the school community. Debbie looks forward to the school's continued success and growth.

Bhavin Patel works at International SOS Assistance as an account receivable manager. A long-time resident of Bensalem, he is married and the father of two young children. His eldest is already a School Lane student and his son will begin kindergarten at the school in Fall 2012. Elected to the Board in 2011, Bharvin joined with the intention of ensuring that current School Lane parents are well represented and students reach their full potential. He would like to see School Lane continue to grow and take steps to enhance its students' future by providing a strong curriculum and unique educational opportunities.
Surya Vedula, Member
A technology management consultant for a Fortune 100 company and an active member of the Bensalem community, Surya Vedula is also the proud father of four children - one of whom is a School Lane student.
