April 30, 2025

Dear School Lane Charter School Community,

School Lane Charter School’s community is essential to the continuation of the excellent education our students receive.  One way you can help support our community is to become a member of the SLCS Board of Trustees.  The SLCS Board of Trustees is currently inviting nominations for members to fill the 2 vacant positions as appointed board members.

The functions of the Board of Trustees include, but are not limited to, overseeing the implementation of the mission and vision of SLCS; developing, approving and implementing policies for SLCS; approving curriculum, programs and services used by SLCS; and directing the operation and maintenance of the school building.  The SLCS Board of Trustees meets once a month for approximately 2-3 hours for each meeting.

To serve as a SLCS board member you do not need a college degree or special educational experience.  However, you do need to live in Pennsylvania.  Current Board members include parents and individuals from the local community who come from a variety of backgrounds and professions and represent a range of ideas and perspectives.  SLCS Board is looking for members of the community who believe in our mission and vision (visit www.schoollane.org) and are looking to support SLCS future success.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the SLCS Board of Trustees, please complete the nomination form found on our website under “Board of Trustees” tab, and send, along with your resume, to SLCS at 3440 Tillman, Bensalem PA 19020 or email to Mrs. Schade at kschade@schoollane.org on or before May 16, 2023.  SLCS will notify candidates of a date and time for an interview for the appointed positions.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss how you might contribute, please contact SLCS CEO, Karen Schade at 215-245-6055 ext. 426
