Board Nominations

School Lane Charter School’s community is essential to the continuation of the excellent education our students receive.  One way you can help support our community is to become a member of the SLCS Board of Trustees.

The SLCS Board of Trustees is currently inviting nominations for members to fill the upcoming single (1) vacant positions as an appointed board member.  The functions of the Board of Trustees include, but are not limited to, overseeing the implementation of the mission and vision of SLCS; developing, approving and implementing policies for SLCS; approving curriculum, programs and services used by SLCS; and directing the operation and maintenance of the school building.  The SLCS Board of Trustees meets once a month for approximately 2-3 hours for each meeting.  Current Board members include parents and individuals from the local community who come from a variety of backgrounds and professions and represent a range of ideas and perspectives.  You do not need a special college degree or educational experience to serve as a SLCS board member.  You do need to believe in the mission and vision of the school (visit www.schoollane.org) and want to assist in the school’s future success.

If you are interested in running for the SLCS Board of Trustees, please complete the nomination form found on our website under “About Us” and “Board of Trustees” and send, along with your resume, to SLCS at 3440 Tillman, Bensalem PA 19020 or email to Mrs. Schade at kschade@schoollane.org on or before June 3, 2021.  As the open position is an appointed position, the current Board of Trustees will interview all nominated candidates and appoint the candidate they feel is best qualified to fill the open position.  If you have any questions, or would like to discuss how you might contribute, please contact SLCS CEO, Karen Schade at 215-245-6055 ext. 426.
