Congratulations to our third graders showing citizenship and leadership skills during the month of November.

Every month we have a community meeting as a grade to discuss progress following PAWS expectations during lunch and recess, celebrate successes, and set goals for the next month. We also take time this to recognize students who are demonstrating citizenship who receive awards from the student members of the lunch/recess committee!

Congratulations to our 2nd graders showing citizenship and leadership during the month of November!

Yesterday students in grades 4-6 attended an assembly with guest speaker Mr. Litton from Action Karate. He talked about what bullying is and the importance of standing up to bullying. This is always an important message to revisit throughout the year.

Our first graders explored science activities teaching their families that light and dark have a complicated relationship because they are always in each other's shadows. :)

Our Second Graders showed off their fluency in reading skills at our exhibition this morning. Families and staff enjoyed a Reader's Theater performance.

Happy Thanksgiving from School Lane Charter School!

Happy Thanksgiving from School Lane Charter School!

Members of our SLCS Student Council led morning meeting in their assigned homerooms today. Many of the classes talked about Thanksgiving traditions, generated lists of what they are grateful for, and played fun activities together! We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and break!

The 5th graders worked hard this morning to make Thanksgiving meals with the food that was generously donated by our own school community. The meals will be given to a local organization that provides food to the elderly in our area, Caring for Friends. Every student had a role to make this service learning experience a success. Can you guess how many meals we made?! Sibling Applications will be available beginning Monday, November 20th at 5:00 PM at both campuses to coincide with Parent Teacher Conferences. Beginning on Tuesday, November 21st, sibling applications will be accepted in person each school day between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM at either campus.
