At last night's board meeting, the SLCS Board of Trustees made revisions to the Health & Safety Plan and canceled the current face mask mandate. Moving forward, the requirement for wearing a face mask in SLCS buildings will be determined by the PCR rate for Bucks County and our chart for determining the level of community spread of COVID-19: Mrs. Schade will send a message to families each Friday afternoon with the PCR %, level of community spread, and face mask-wearing expectations for the following week. You will also be able to find this information updated on our website weekly. For today’s notice, the PCR for Buck County is 20.59% (HIGH community transmission), which means face masks are required for everyone. In addition to the changes listed above, SLCS also made changes to the quarantine time for those who are positive for COVID-19 or considered exposed to or close contact with some who tested positive. Duration of quarantine is now a minimum of 5 days with day zero being the date of onset of symptoms, date of a positive test administered, or date of exposure. We also will be allowing limited visitors into the school as long as they remain 6 ft distanced from students and staff. Please take a moment to read the updated Health and Safety Plan on our website. Thank you, Karen A. Schade, CEO

Good afternoon, School Lane IB Campus: Our school is committed to the safety of our students and staff, which is why it is important to clearly communicate when school events occur. This message is to inform you that the School Lane IB Campus was placed into Lockdown Mode this morning. In coordination with Bensalem emergency services, this Lockdown was initiated at 11:07am and was lifted at 11:25am. Our response was required due to an incident at a location in the vicinity of the IB Campus that did not involve our buildings or students. Once it was officially communicated by law enforcement that our students and staff were in no danger and the situation was resolved, we were able to return to our regular school day. While there was no direct harm to our community, we recognize that entering into Lockdown Mode may cause anxiety or raise concerns. Please inform our administrative and counseling team where we can be a support. Today is a reminder of how we work for the academic, emotional, and social success of your child. Thank you for your continued encouragement and partnership with SLCS. Ian Doreian Principal, IB Campus
